About TiSMeD

TiSMeD is the one-stop combo repository for tissue-specific DNA methylation and expression data, designed to provide a valuable reference for identifying highly sensitive and specific biomarkers for precise cancer diagnosis, as well as enabling non-invasive tissue-of-origin tracing of circulating cell-free DNA (ccfDNA). Currently, TiSMeD contains 67,427 tissue-specific methylation sites (TSMs), including 11,679 tissue-specific hypermethylation sites (TSHMs) and 55,748 tissue-specific hypomethylation sites (TSUMs). Additionally, TiSMeD includes 2,833 distinct tissue-specific genes (TSGs), 2,847 tissue-specific proteins (TSPs), and 11,411,136 housekeeping methylation sites (HKMs), all identified through the integration of 6,782 methylomes, 16,894 transcriptomes, and 241 proteomes.
